What This Means for RFID Projects and Procurement Planning
Impinj, a global leader in RAIN RFID technology, has announced a price adjustment across selected RFID hardware products effective July 1, 2026.
According to the company’s official partner communication, the increase is driven by rising manufacturing, component, freight, and labor costs that have continued to impact the global supply chain. While Impinj has absorbed these costs for as long as possible, the company has determined that a pricing adjustment is necessary to maintain product quality, supply continuity, and ongoing innovation.
Products Affected by the Price Adjustment
Beginning July 1, 2026, the following increases will apply:
- Impinj R700 Series Readers: 7% increase
- Speedway Readers: 15% increase
- xSpan Gateways: 15% increase
- RFID Accessories: 15% increase
Orders scheduled to ship before July 1, 2026, will be honored at current pricing. Orders shipping on or after the effective date will be processed under the new pricing structure.
What This Means for Businesses
Organizations planning RFID initiatives in the coming months should consider reviewing procurement timelines and budget allocations as soon as possible. The price adjustment may affect projects involving:
- RFID Fixed Asset Management
- Inventory and Warehouse Tracking
- Equipment Monitoring
- Logistics and Supply Chain Visibility
- Manufacturing Traceability
- Retail Inventory Management
For businesses evaluating RFID deployment or expansion, securing hardware before the implementation date may help reduce project costs.
